This is one of my final year university projects in which me and a close friend, Nicoletta Corbett (who studied at Falmouth University), made a 2 minute Stop-Motion animation.
It addresses the growing problem of excessive screen use, phone addiction and the negative effects technology can have on our lives and our connections with others. Exploring a speculative dystopian future where tech is central to human existence, in which a character and his environment are manipulated to show the viewer what their life could be like, if they stay on screens all day.
We combined playfulness with a disturbing edge to tell an unsettling story that simulates the overwhelming over-stimulation of the addictive looping apps like TikTok, without being preachy.
